– [Announcer] Good evening
ladies and gentlemen welcome to the RFK gym here at Queensborough Community College. Today is Think Pink day
here at Queensborough, for breast cancer awareness,
both teams will be wearing their pink uniforms. Everybody please rise

(crowd applauding) (whistle blowing) – [Announcer] Three years ago in this gym, Queensborough Women’s Volleyball won it’s very first CUNY championship. And an integral part of
that team was a young woman by the name of Kathleen Cansino, and I was honored to be her teammate. Two years ago we got some news
that made us a little sad, and it hurt us a little
but she fought through. Kathleen was diagnosed with breast cancer at a very young age. So tonight we honor
her, and I am so honored and so privileged to be able to do this. She’s my noodle and I love
her, and Kathleen’s here. (audience cheering)
(audience applauding) Today just happens to
be Kathleen’s birthday. (audience cheering)
(audience applauding) So I just have to say, ♪ Happy birthday to you ♪ ♪ Happy birthday to you ♪ ♪ Happy birthday dear noodle ♪ ♪ That’s what I call her, doesn’t matter ♪ ♪ It’s a long story ♪ ♪ Happy birthday to you ♪ (audience cheering)
(audience applauding) This is for Kathleen because even though she’s no longer a student, she will always be a
part of Queensborough, and again our historic
CUNY championship win. (audience cheering)
(audience applauding) Again, we do this
because she never gave up and she always put out
110% on that course, even though she maybe (mumbles) but we just want to say we love you, and we’re happy that you’re still with us (mumbles) We love you, and you put up a fight that probably many people
would not have been able to do. And the fact that you’re standing with us makes me very, very
happy, and I know it does for everybody else. So thank you again, we
love you, and yeah so. (audience cheering)
